Lucerne with Mount Pilatus Optional

you can quite easily do pilatus on your own for approximatly the same amount of money, but it will take you at a minimum 2 hours longer, and lucerne is a great little city with a lot of things to do. the mountain weather can also be hit or miss, but the ride to the top and back is quite incredible. rule of thumb for me when on tour, time is money and my time is precious!!

Definitely use the tour.
Loked into doing it on your own Can do with a boat ride trip (grand tour Ticket) but transportation headaches not worht it. Did it also in early June Thames to Tiber. Should see if you can get enough time between the cable car ride to do the luge run on your own.

A Fantastic optional so don't miss it. However it would be hard to do it on your own as you usually don't get long in each location. The cog wheel and the chairlift are in the middle of nowhere really and it would take you ages to get there to do it yourself. If you tried to do it you would not get any time to see Lucerne and this beautiful city is well worth seeing too!
