I'm concerned about taking a budget tour because of a. the quality and location of hotels b. the lack of activities included and c. no bathrooms on the bus (perhaps that's a silly concern but it's one all the same). .

Can anyone who has recently been on this tour tell me about it, or Trafalgar Tours in general? I've never been on this type of tour before.

Thanks very much!

I don't think you have much to worry about.

a. Hotel quality is usually higher than I would normally stay at in the US. It's a little less in high priced areas like Venice or Rome, but otherwise fine. I've been on three tours, and have been pleased with all accomodations. Location--may be a bit away from the center of the city, but taxis are cheap.

b. Usually there are introductory activities included. There are always a lot of additional ones offered, all quite good quality, but they are a bit pricy. We usually spend $150 to $250 each to do the ones we like. We also like to NOT have activities, so that we have time to stroll the streets, shop and do the things WE like to do.

c. Busses are GREAT! Air Conditioned, With potties--but the potties are for emergencies only!. . They make comfort stops every two hours at good places. If passengers aren't well treated, they don't come back.

Go for it.
