Guys,I am a newbie here and find it quite suitable forum for me.Great to see lot of replies. So expect to solve my problems soon!
I am suppose to visit Southasia. Now a days inspite of typical situation there I have to visit.I cant help it.But I am very much scary about security and privacy.I am in search of a secure hotel.I am aware of a site called www.asiarooms.com,but I am not clear about my queries from the reviews.I have just information about the price rate and the hotel's review.
But Blve me I need security and privacy more than those.
So what should I do?
even I am thinking about to postpone my trip, but it is so important.. .. .

I am not sure what you want from us????

If you have questions regarding a specific hotel you might want to go to tripadvisor dot com and ask your question there. I guess I really don't even know what your question is.

Ok,I'll bite.

Smithgeorge you don't even say what city you are going to?

This website is intended for people who are going on or considering going on a tour. Thus the name, affordableTOURS.

In order to find hotels when I am traveling there are several other websites that I use. They are Fodors,Frommers and best of all tripadvisor. You can do a search for these sites and find them easily. Once you get to the web site enter the city you are going to and the word hotel and you will be presented with a list of hotels with reviews for that city. You will then be able to find a hotel that suits your needs whatever that may be.

I guess the safer and more secure the more dollars that will be required.

SmithGeorge. What country or countries will you be visiting?

I travel around SouthEAST Asia pretty often. I always choose a place that has a security box for storing valuables and money. I always have a private room with hot water, A/C, private toilet/shower and almost always a TV and possibly a refrigerator. I stay in hotels that meet these requirements that run between $11 (US) on up to $30 per night. Different countries, different cities have different price ranges.

I am a "thrift" traveler. Your budget for hotels will determine what type of room you will end up getting. When you travel and try to do it cheap, don't bring expensive things with you that you would worry about all the time. Don't bring expensive watches and jewelry that could be easily stolen. I do use the security box for important stuff and money.

Lonely Planet, Trip Advisor, Virtual Tourist and Boots n All travel forums are very helpful for individual travelers going it on their own.

Can you be more specific as to what countries you will be traveling in? Also, some countries have "high season" and "low season" that affect prices and sometimes availability too!

Up to you!
