Thanks to comments on this site.. ..My mom and myself are now looking at a trip to Britain and Ireland. We are torn between the one offered by Globus and the other offered by Insight. We have checked out reviews of the hotels from both trips and those on the Globus tour have horrible reviews. Has anyone been on the Insight Britain & Ireland Explorer tour. Is the trip suitable for a 78 year old woman and how were the hotels? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

No question about it. You should go with Insight. Insight tours is a step above Globus. However, we took a Globus tour to Hawaii and the tour director was outstanding. The tour hotels offered by Globus in Hawaii we also very nice. All were Sheraton properties.

Thank you, underwater_chick. We are booked on two Insight back to back tours to Eastern Europe and the Dalmatian coast in September. Hope you enjoy the Globus tour.
