suggestions for a globus tour

Hi GUys,

I did a globus tour 2 years ago "Traditonal Grand Eurpean" and loved it. I am planning another trip next year, and want to do a tour again. I want a short tour this time, as after the tour, I plan on renting a house/villia in Florence for 2 weeks, so want a short tour so I can see some sights as the person I am traveling with has never been to EUrope.
Prefer NOT to go to ROme, as most of the tours go there. Can anyone recommend anything, the only real thing I wan t to see is Venice, and would prefer to see different cities that what I say before.
ANy advice would be great. Or do you think I should skip the tour all together and do everything on my own. A mix of stuff sounds nice too.
