Anyone ever do this one? Seems like it may be fun but cold.
Brochure says wear extra socks. What is likelihood of getting
wet. Glaciers to me mean ice, is water cooooold?

Are you talking about a helicopter with pontoons? About 5 years ago my wife and I too took optional helicopter sightseeing trip out to a glacier. The helicopter set down on the glacier and we got to walk around. We were supplied with mukluks (kneehigh soft boots) that pretty well protected our feet and life vests. Except for stepping into an occasional deep patch of snow (waist-deep), we were fine as long as we didn't venture too far from the helicopter. It was cold (after all we were on a huge block of ice) but not unpleasantly so.

Glaciers really are ice with rocks mixed in. yeas, you will get wet and the water is cold.
