Germany, Austria Tour

Asking for a little help. My wife and I finally got some time off in July and the tour we wanted to go on is sold out. Has anyone been on a Globus Tour through Germany and Austria? We are first timers and would to spend most of our time in Bavaria.. ..any suggestions?

have taken many tours through germany austria and switzerland. bavaria is great! austria is great! switzerland is great! if you are afirst timer i would recommend the(depending on how many days you want to travel and budget of course) 7 day germany austria or 14 day alpine countries that globus offers. both are great and i learned a lot from my guide about that region of world!

Can you tell me what the name of your tour guide was? How can I get information about tour guides (who's good, or bad)? I'am thinking of taking the 14 day Alpine tour. What time of year is best ?
