 Sorry everyone that I have been away for so long
For those of you who do not know me, I was on site for a long time planning and researching my first trip to Europe last year. It was fabulous, the time of my life. I am back looking at everyone comments and questions and will be trying to help the best I can.

If I must make one comment - If anyone has the chance to go to Italy - GO - I fell in love with it and will definelty return. Italy caputured my heart and soul. Everyone must go down a canel in Venice on a gondola at least once in their life!!!
Looking forward to making new friends in my travel

Hi Nurse Sue

I started reading your messages last summer at the same time we signed up to go to Italy for March 2005. I've been looking for your trip report and am glad to see you're posting again. Well, we're now getting ready to leave for our trip on March 18th to do "Italy's Great Cities" (Rome, Florence, Venice) and we're so excited. If you get a chance, please share some of your experiences and suggestions!

Lisa,

You are going to have a grat time. It was my first time to Europe and I went on my own. I will pull out my travel journal and give you some highlights. You are going to have a great time. One of my all time highlights was Venice and going downa gondola thru the canels. Make sure you do that, it is a must!! Do NOT sign up for this as an optional with GLobus, we all did it on our own, and it was much better.
Will give you some good travel tips this week. Do you have an email, I could email you. Send me a privat message and I will email you some grat tips on GLobus!

They are FANTASTIC and I am planning on going on another trip with them next year!
Looking forward to making new friends in my travel

globus tour

Postby ally » Tue Mar 01, 2005 2:44 am

Sue,,. . glad to hear ur were pleased with globus tours.. .. . iheard the canals were filthy but i think ill go anyway.. ..so u didnt do the optional tour with globus..i wonder why
im not in venice for long so i guess ill have to do the gondola thing with globus.. .. .

im a little worried about upsetting guides.. . i dont want to shop for watches or watch the glass blowers for longer than five minuted.. . i hope the guide doesnt turn out to be some nazi who marshalls me to and from kickback stores!

a 16 day tour is a long time to be with any stranger but u gotta get on wit ur guide for sure i figure
anway . .. . reassure me if u can please.. . i do realise the guides are individuals.. .
ally

oh how dressed up did u get for the nights out?

First trip to Europe!

Hi,Nurse sue-Thanks for your input. This will be our 1st trip to europe in June. I have seen plenty of glassblowers in my day and I am not a big shopper except for a few souviniers perhaps. So I am thinking of not doing some of the optionals suggested. Its my $$ to spend as I wish, but I don't want to be picked on about it . . Will I be harassed?Bev

Hi Nurse Sue,
It is nice to see your back, I was thinking about you last thursday.. ..of course I was laying in a hospital bed with wires/tubes/ and stuff that I have no idea what it was for, all stuck to me or worse shoved into me. Lucky for me it was not a heart attack (whew thank the good lord), just some other major stress. I kept thinking "Where is NurseSue to tell me of her adventures in Europe, Now that would Relax me and certainly put me in a much better mood"! Anyway I love hearing your adventures and opinions and the such, and hope some day we can end up on the same tour.. ..that would be FUN and Europe would never be the same.. ..lol!

p.s Don't tell my wife I thought of another Woman while in bed (a Hospital bed that is) or she might find out about my Obsession with Travel . .. .. .. .. .. ..lol!
Brian
