That's great!! We actually thought about doing the wedding there as well, but decided we would rather just relax while we were there.. .

We'll have to meet up for a drink, we, well my fiance' is hard to miss, he has tattoo's on both legs from the knee down (he's not scary though, I promise). . You can usually find us at the swim up pool bar (on the old Rivera side)

Take Care!

Only 96 more days to go!!! :D

What side to book

Postby DA » Wed Feb 09, 2005 2:42 pm

Hi there.. .. . I'm about to book my honeymoon at this resort and I "think" I'm going to spend the extra money to get on the beach side (versus the manor side). . What was your experience with the rooms and the trek to everythiing.. .. .

Do you know if it is worth it to pay extra for the Riveria building or is the Bamboo building close enough to the beach and everything else?

TheBamboo is Close enough. You'r miles ahead of the chumps at the Manor House. To be clearer the Bamboo is less than 600 feet from th Riviera and the Manor House is a Half Mile AND Across two roads!

The Bamboo Grove building is located in the garden area right by the lily ponds, it's in a really pretty area. Also you will be pretty central to everything, the pool, the beach and all the restaurants on the Riviera side.

We're planning to book the Bamboo Grove on our trip next year (haven't even taken this trip and already planning the next one.. . ha!) since we have stayed in the cottages twice and will stay in a Oceanfront room this year for our Honeymoon, we figure we may as well save a little cash since we really don't spend much time in the room anyway and SGOR is discontinuing the 250$ spa credit for the lower level rooms.. .

Have fun, and we'll see ya there!! (May 2nd-14th)
:D
