HAL - Bringing Beverages on Board

Hi. My wife and I have sailed the Zandam a few times and are going again the last of March. I have called hal and asked them about bringing drinks onboard. Because I was bringing my own wine. They said that you can still bring it onboard. now last year when we went if you bought stuff on the islands you could bring it aboard but you have to check it at the door. you can't take it to your room like you could before. but at the end of the cruise you have your claim ticket and you get it as your leaving the ship.
