Perillo

My wife and I used them on a Northern Italy 2 week tour in 1998. We found the Tour company to be averge at best. They provided us a terrible flight connection, where we missed our flight to Milan from NYC. Spent a long 24 hours on multiple flights to finally arrive in Milan. The bus we used was good and the other folks on the tour group were friendly. The tour guide was who stayed with us on the entire trip was very good. One major dissapointment was the quality of the food, which was not in many cases the best. Wine was always provided and that made it more enjoyable. Hotels in general were of high quality.

My husband and I traveled with Perillo for a 14 day Italy tour. It was excellent. I have traveled with other tour companies and in Italy, no one else can even come close to their service!! I think you will be very happy with them. I am a travel agent and I book Perillo all the time and never have had a complaint so far. Please let me know if you would like anymore information or prices.

Perillo Italy Hotel Quality & Location

Postby NYTraveler » Wed Jul 21, 2004 2:48 pm

I am thinking of booking the Perillo 10 Day Vesuvius Off-Season tour in November. However, I'm concerned as to the hotel quality of some I've spot checked per the list. I've found many of the hotels on their list of 'first class' hotels poorly rated in reviews. I've only spot checked, but so far, I've not ready many good comments, which is a concern. (Example: Florence; Anglo American Regina, Baglioni, Jolly Firenze.) However, in Sorrento the Ambasciatori Hotel looked fantastic! I'm finding this process a bit frustrating! Our feeling is if we're going to incur the additional upcharges for a Perillo tour (over Trafalgar and the like), we need to make sure the hotels are of good quality and centrally located. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thank you in advance for any info!

My wife and I took the one week Rome hosted tour. the hotel was great. We did not take any of the side trips, but spent all of our time in
Rome. after the first day we had no contact with the company. Tey met us at the airport and transfered by bus to our hotel in rome. We like it so much we are going back 2005.

I took the tour the year of jubilee with my family. It was wonderful. We had such a fun time we are going back this summer 2005. We took the 10 day tour through Italy and we loved it so much we're taking it again. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and the food was wonderful. There was wine at every meal. The hotels were beautiful. We just had a terrific time. Just have fun, enjoy the tour and don't sweat the small stuff. Traveling is an adventure.

We took our first perillo tour 3 years ago. I just went online now to check out their Norther Italy tours. We found them to be excellent! Very well organized.. ..not one problem! We made friends from Long Island and we're planning on doing this tour with them. I woundn't hesitate at all. Have fun! Pat

Perillo tours

I went on a Perillo tour with my parents close to 20 years ago. I thought it was excellent. Very well organized, good tour guides and hotels were quite nice.At that time we were staying at hotels that would have been quite expensive had we booked them on our own.The only drawback I found was that the meals that were included were pretty basic. Some of the people on the tour that enjoyed fine dining would just skip a meal in every different location and go out on their own to a recommended restaurant.I was with my parents so the "fine dining" wasn't an issue. All in all I would definitely go on another Perillo tour.
The tour we took went toLugano,Milan, Florence, Venice, Rome, and Capri. It was really super. I'd love to take my daughter now but the prices have really gone up. :D
