On researching Machu Picchu I found your very informative journal. We are also planning this tour and would appreicate some input.

I have been to a TA and he did not say point blank 'you are too old to go' but certainly made me feel that way. We are in our mid 50's and averagely fit and quite willing to get fitter if necessary. What was the age variation in the group that you went with and did anyone have any difficulties with any climbing required and also altitude sickness.

We will be flying straight from 64feet to 13,000+ feet at La Paz.

Would appreicate any advise
