RIU JALISCO IN PUERTO VALLARTA

We stayed at the Riu from May 1 till May 11, 2004. My complaint is this is listed in Apple's books as a 5 golden apple. Not at all true. At best this is a 4 apple. This was my 7th Apple all-inclusive trip with my husband. We stayed at the Iberstar Tucan last year and were much happier with our trip. I will not be going back to Puerto Vallarta for a long time.
Our room at the Riu had walls made of paper and the pool was small for such a big resort. People's rooms were also broken into and were told the police would be called when management was on duty. What is up with that? Our travel agent said we would have to write a letter about our trip since Apple has no 800 numbers to call and complain. BS!
Any one else ever stay at the Riu in Puerto Vallarta?

Went to Rui in Feb. 2005. Had a great time. Service was great. Food was great. Book reservations for dinner, yes you need to get up early but was worth it. Place was beautiful. Only hear noise when couple next door locked her husband out of room, he was screaming in the hall next to our door. Other than that it was quiet. Was upgraded to better room when we arrived, thanks to apples deal. Didn't hear about any stealing even when you leave things on the beach or by the pool. The pool was great, very large very few people in pool. Went to the beach most of the time. Bars were good. Entertainment okay. Just don't volunteer to be part of the act unless you don't mind being embarassed like many of the other hotels with entertainment. Travel lots in the caribean and mexico, this place was well worth the money. Did catch a special price which made the place even better. One of the better hotels I'm stayed in. Always but at 5 stars.

I was very pleased with the service, the food was the best. The pool was a little too small but could deal with that. The people were amaizing, considering I travel a lot this was a great stay and would consider going back to the RIU Jalisco hotel.

Had a great time at Riu Jalasco, pool was small but there were 2 and it was never crowded enough that I could not swim. Completly lived up to my expectations, was very happy with everything. Will go back for sure.

Last Febraury had the blast of my life with friends at Rui, the hotel was AMAZING, the staff was polite and helpful.. . We loved it so much going back for seconds.. . Same time of the year same city, SAME HOTEL.. .. . GO RUI Jallusico!!!!!!!!!!!!!
