Apples insurance policy

We were supposed to go to Mexico but because of hurricane Wilma our hotel evacuated and we never left the country. Good thing we bought apple insurance right? Wrong. Apple said that they wont give us our money back but will be happy to put us somewhere else. Well every place that we pick is booked and apple says that cant get us there. So exactly what is insured? I work for a living and can't take vacations when ever I want. I purchased insurance from apple who is now saying that they can't put me anywhere else and cant refund my money. The reason I want my money is because Fun Jet can book me in a few different places but I don't have another five thousand to spend. All my vacation money is tied up in apple. Apple is one of the biggest if not the biggest travel company around and they are telling me that they can't make a different trip to another location happen. I'll bet that the Venetian in Vegas is booked solid. I also bet that it would take Donald Trump about sixty seconds to get a room there. I am certainly no Donald Trump but Apple is a high roller and these hotels are very interested in keeping them and their clients satisfied.
How would you feel if you got into a car accident and your insurance company said we are more than happy to fix your car but unfortunately no body shops have the time to do it right now. That isn't insurance, thats customer service at their convenience.
