Newbie to travel. Any suggestions for European tour groups appropriate for singles? Thanks.

Hey! A good option may be a Contiki tour. I went on one alone this summer and had a great time traveling through London, Paris, Switzerland, Austria, Venice, Florence, and Rome. Plenty of chances to meet some native guys at bars and clubs along the way as well :-). . Let me know if you have any questions! -Kathryn

I would totally suggest the same! I went on a Contiki this summer with a friend, but most of the other travelers were solo. By the end of the trip my friend and I had made all new friends! Everyone is really nice and fun! Not to mention all of the amazing things we did on the trip!! Moulin Rouge, white water rafting, concentration camp. Such a variety! Happy traveling!

Contiki tours are known for their drinking travelers.

I also went on a Contiki and it was amazing. Yes there was drinking, but you dont have to if you dont want to. Everyone on my tour pretty much bonded over everything. No one knew each other getting on the coach, but we all became good friends.

Its the late night excursions and revelry that wear you down on Contiki tours.

I think I will have to check that tour out for myself. Sounds like after going on that tour.. ..I would need a long vacation after I got back home.

Go with Contiki!

Postby musickookie » Wed Sep 12, 2007 5:21 pm

If you're looking for a tour where you can travel by yourself and meet other young people, Contiki is for you!

The agency has tours all over Europe and is specifically targeted toward 18-35 year olds. I went on a tour last summer and loved it so much that I now work for them! E-mail me for $100 off an excursion! usccontiki@yahoo.com

Send a coupon to Letsgo. I don't think I would be interested. Maybe if I were 30 years younger and enjoyed drinking into the wee hours of the morning.

Hey I did a Contiki tour too! I was also a solor traveler. Before I got there I was definitely a little aprehensive but everyone on my trip was so nice and really easy to get along with. Now I have 40 new friends from all over the country.
You have to remember that there is a certain kind of person that chooses to travel that way.. .. . pretty much young friendly ADVENTUROUS people who are looking to have a good time and see all the same places as you.
