How early can we board?

Can someone tell me how early cruisers are able to board the ships? We are scheduled for Explorer 5/23/04? This is our first RCI cruise. Have cruised Princess before.

I have been on a Royal Caribbean cruise before and we got to port mid-morning. The thing is you have to wait until the guests from the previous weeks cruise all get off before you start to board. So I'd say anytime you get there is ok because you'll be waiting in lines anyway.
