Not really a company, but what do people know about it? Is this cheaper than having a tour book everything for you?

I haven't used it yet. It seems a good alternative to rail passes as long as you have a little more time. Point to point travel is going to take you a bit longer but you never have to pay reservation fees (although you should still reserve your seat for free). . Look over their timetables to get a good idea. They have some pretty good deals right now. I have tried to e-mail them (about a week ago) but am still waiting for a response. This may be the only draw back I have seen so far.

I used Busabout last year, to travel around Europe. It's a great alternative for independant travlers who don't want to hassle with train stations and finding hostel accomedations.

You'll meet the greatest people from all around. =)

this is a scam!! it's more expensive than taking the train!! not to mention that there are almost no lone travelers!!! most people are in groups of two or more and 99% are from australia and new zealand. if you plan on going to europe you want to meet europeans not islanders that complain about the poluted cities we are visiting. the train is a much cheaper alternative as well as taking cheap flights around europe. currently england to spain or germany for only 19 euros. ryanair, monarch, etc, etc.. .. .
stay away at all costs. the guides are marginal at best. you can find better info in a travel guide. don´t be scared of europe, traveling alone, like i was. just do it and you'll find that things are not that difficult once you arrive. i wanted a refund after my first week.. .. . i hope this information is helpful to you.
