All was quite good on the Gold tours EXCEPT the majority of lunches(restaurents we were told chosen by the local guide) were VERY mediocre. In fact often no different than less expensive tour groups who ate with us.Dinners as long as they were at the upscale Hotels were good.

Pacific delights tours

I have taken Pacific delights basic to to Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore and Japan 17 years ago and they did a great job. In 1992, I went with them on their China trip which consisted of 7 cities and Hong Kong. It was a wonderful trip. I was traveling alone and I had a great time! The group was nice, guides were great and accomodations were the best! Sueh

Pacific Delight Gold Tour

We did this trip in 2002 and it was fabulous. Staying in the super deluxe hotels and having suites on the Yangtze River cruise was just the extra pampering we wanted. Getting to eat in the Western style restaurants at the hotel gave some variety to the monotonous lunches served everywhere. Limiting the group size to 16 was great and sending us by plane to Hong Kong, vs the trains that lots of groups use saved a lot of time. Plus, the tour director was wonderful.

We went with Pacific Delight on a 24 day tour in 1997 and had a great time. They had a great guide that stayed with us our whole trip plus the local guides in the different cities. We will be going back probably next year and we will go with Pacific Delight again. China is a whole different world and full of suprises and wonderful things. If you can do the Grand Canal do that. We really enjoyed that and Hong Kong what a city. ENJOY YOUR TRIP
