Hello everyone, enjoyed the NCL cruise to w. carribean.. ..it was great except that my girlfriend somehow got a Botfly larva in her head on one of the shore excursions and it made her pretty sick requiring a weeks stay in the hospital. Wondering if anyone else had a similiar experience? Also, I need a copy of the liability wavier that comes in the ticket packetprior a NCL cruise. Can someone email or fax me a copy of that wavier? email me at spweiler@sbcglobal.net. . thanks, steve

Botfly - NCL

Postby ers » Wed Feb 23, 2005 8:36 am

I took my family on a NCL western caribbean cruise in November. My son also brought home a botfly. We saw 5 doctors, none of which had a clue, then the surgery (requiring general anesthesia) produced the little maggot.

All's fine now. We suspect the hitchhiker came from Belize.

Any luck with a claim to NCL?
