HELP ME PLEASE.. ..NEED TIGHT BUDGET IDEAS FOR BAHAMAS

HI EVERYONE, WE BOOKED OUR CRUISE TO THE BAHAMAS MONTHS AGO, ALMOST A YEAR AND NOW THAT WE'RE JUST A FEW WEEKS AWAY FROM LEAVING WE'VE HAPPENED INTO A VERY VERY TIGHT BUDGET. I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO SPEND ON NICE SHORE EXCURSIONS OR ON THE BOAT. I ONLY HAVE $500 FOR THE 4 OF US (2 KIDS, 2 ADULTS). . THIS WILL BE MY FIRST CRUISE SO I HAVE NO IDEA OF WHAT TO EXPECT AS FAR AS EXPENSES ABOARD SHIP OR IN THE BAHAMAS. CAN ANY ONE GIVE ME SOME IDEA OF HOW MUCH THE BOAT WILL COST (TRIP IS COMPLETELY PAID FOR) AND MAYBE A FEW CHEAP THINGS TO DO IN NASSAU.

Nassau is really nice, take a taxi to Atlantis(around $20 round trip for the 4 of you) and walk through the aquariam, do eat before you leave the boat as food there is VERY expensive, we normally take some sandwiches in my work lunch pail with no problem.
As to bringing $500 with you, that may not be enough, as you have to figure $10 per day per person just for tips, is your trip 3, 4 or 7 nights? You do the math. I know times are tough, do not let anyone tell you you should not cruise, you can skimp on many things if you do not drink alcohol or gamble, tea coffee tap water punch and lemonade is always free, keep the kids out of the mini fridge(or have cabin steward empty it) those things are extremely over priced, snaek on some soda if you need it, we do.
We saved for 3 years for our dec 11 2004 trip on the Triumph and due to 9-11 we were both laid off and know money is tight, borrow some from friends or relatives if possible, but the main thing, Have A Great Time even if you do not bring lots of cash.
