obstructed view balconies

Has anybody ever had an obstructed view balcony? I booked one on the carnival Legend and was wondering what the view is like and what are the obstructions. Thanks.[/b]

From what my AAA agent has said and what other people have said on
the message boards, obstructed views usually have life boats hanging
in front of the balconies.

We sailed on the Carnival Pride last summer and had an obstructed view balcony cabin - it was GREAT! The lifeboats were hanging right BELOW us so the only thing you could not do was look down or jump overboard If this is what you're getting - it's a great deal!

OBSTRUCTED VIEWS MEAN A VARIETY OF THINGS.. .. . FIRST OFF YES AN ABSTRUCTED VIEW IS WHEN A LIFEBPOAT IS BLOCKING YOUR VIEW.. ..IT CAN EITHER COVER THE WHOLE VIEW, THE BOAT CAN BE LOCATED BELOW YOUR VIEW, ABOVE YOUR VIEW, OR RIGHT SMACK DAB IN THE MIDDLE OF YOUR VIEW.. ..YOU GET A MUCH BETTER PRICE FOR THESE ROOMS BUT ON THE OTHER HAND IT ALL DEPENDS ON HOW MUCH TIME YOU'LL BE SPENDING IN YOUR ROOM TRYING TO LOOK OFF YOUR BALCONY OR HOW MUCH TIME YOUR GOING TO BE SPENDING ON DECK MEETING PEOPLE AND DOING ACTIVITIES.
