I'm planning to take this tour and I would love to know more about it. Can anyone who has been on this tour recently tell me more about it? How fast-paced is it? Is there a good balance between free time and planned activities? How much is included? How are the optionals? Are the hotels centrally located?

I'm most concerned about spending too much money on optionals and being in hotels that are far from the city center.

I haven't taken this specific tour, but on other Trafalger tours I've found that you don't walk out the hotel door into the center of the city, but that taxis are cheap. Hotel desk will get you a taxi if you are shy about language problems.

Yes, you will have the chance to buy LOTS of options. We like to do some because they are good value, and fun, but they are a bit pricey. If you can, plan on spending for some of them, but you don't have to to have a good time.

Check the tour description for free time. Usually if you only stay one nite in a hotel, there isn't much time free. You can always make some by excusing yourself from sightseeing trips etc. We chose tours with a lot of free time, because that is waht we like.
