My friend and I are planning to buy a Perillo tour to Italy (Rome, Venice, Florence & also a few side trips). . I can buy the trip directly from Perillo or book through "Affordable Tours". . The trip is expensive, and the savings with Affordable Tours would be approximately $160 each. I'm leary booking with an agency that no one has heard of. Has anyone booked with Affordabletours and do you have any information you can pass on to me. TIA Julia

I asked this same question on the Trafalgar thread, and two people claimed they've booked with affordabletours and it was great. They got the discounts they were promised.

Affordable Tours

I have used Affordable Tours three times ( Alps, Italy, Greece) after one tour with another national/well known company. Their discounts are good and you can get a call back from the agents. I use Donna. Of course you need to become somewhat of an expert to get all the breaks from the tour operator. I would suggest Insight tours if you are taking children under 12. :D

I have used AffordableTours.com twice now, with great results. I always seemed to be getting a different travel agent for each trip. I had never heard of Affordabletours.com, but they are listed on the Travel agents web site so that gave me some measure of assurance. I do not remember the web site, but it is not hard to find. Never use a travel agent not a member of that organization.

I have booked with affordable tours.com twice now and both tours have been great. The discounts are given as promised and all of the paperwork was received in plenty of time. Right now we live overseas and they even scanned in and e-mailed our trip info to us since we couldn't recieve it from the company by FedEx. :)

Booked Insight tour through Affordable Tours recently. Very pleased- extremely nice agent was very helpful. Received documents on time, everything smooth and organized. Discount was substantial so I don't see any reason not to use Affordable.

My wife and I had just traveled with globus booked by Affordable Tours last may. I visited Munich, Praque, Slovakia, Buda Pest, Vienna, and Saltburg. The assistance of Pam from Affordable Tours was superb and excellent. The convinience extended in booking the airlines and guided instructions was well defined for everything you need before, while in the tour and after the tour was highly recommended. I advise and recommend to consider their extraordinary accomodation and service. DSR

I always book with Aff. Tours for their 10% discount. Easy to contact by phone, e-mail. It seems each time I get a different travel agent, they change often.

I book land only, get 10% discount and if offered, $50 off as AARP discount. The travel documents arrive a little earlier then promised - it's a plus. Never ever a problem.

I never book air with a travel agency. Saw people missing connections or mixed-up dates. If I have a flight problem - I am the one to blame! And I don't mean Aff.Tours, just agents in general.

I have used them 3 times. No problems at all and the discount is great.Affordable has always returned my phone calls promptly.Just call the toll free number above and they will help you.I have used the same agent,Sandra Wilkins, all three times. I also book my own air as I can usually get a good price with better connections than the tour companies offer. I do not like tight connections.

I have no experience with affordable tours. Many people do however recommend them. Check the BBB board for any negative reviews.

I have used AffordableTours for 3 trips . .. .. . everyone I have dealt with is a true professional who wants to help you book your dream vacation. The discounts that are offered are great . .. .. . I wouldn't hesitate to use them again for our next trip.
