I'm looking into one of the Globus tours to Hawaii. Any input concerning hotels, touring. etc. would be appreciated. Thank you!

General Max was just there last fall. I bet he'll be here to tell you all about it. I know he and Mrs had a great time. Try doing a search for Hawaii and I bet you will find it.

Yes, we did the Grand Hawaiian Vacation which visits 4 islands in October 2006. We also did the 3 day extension on Maui. All the hotels were Sheraton properties and were in excellant locations. The tour itself was outstanding with Randy Schuster as the tour director.

Thanks for your reply. How were the flights from one island to the next? Did it take a lot of time at the airports going thru security? Did you have to be at the airports hours before the scheduled flight time? I realize that many of the islands are only about 35 minutes apart by air. I'm wondering if a lot of time is consumed waiting at airports. Thanks very much for your help!

elen, the inter-island flights at the airports had minimal delays. There are 3 flights if you return to USA from Maui.. ..or 4..if you return from Honolulu. On 2 of the flights, Randy Schuster, our tour director secured our boarding passes and handed them out to us. Luggage is sent separately except for carry-ons. It arrives in your room at the next resort. We arrived at airports about one hour prior to flights. All flights were on Aloha Airlines with no assigned seating. You board by groups and we were usually the third group prior to general boarding.

Thanks again for the info.
It looks like we may need to use TRafalgar, rather than Globus for our Hawaii trip. (Problem with availability for the dates we need.) Both tours look very similar. We've taken 2 Globus tours before, but have never used Trafalgar. Has anyone out there used Trafalgar and were you happy with them?

Trafalgar is a sister company of Insight. We have been on 2 Insight tours and they were outstanding.
