Has anyone taken the Globus Australia and New Zealand Tours

Postby patpod » Thu Feb 07, 2008 9:48 am

OK . .. . well, when we got our luggage, it came from Auckland . .. .. . just in time to go back to Auckland.

When we checked out bags at Dulles we made sure that the correct tags were on. So, I guess someone at LAX put them in the wrong bin.

Hope you enjoyed your trip otherwise. We loved Fiji and would not hesitate to go back again.

Our tour director in New Zealand and Australia was fantastic. We still keep in touch with her.

We are headed in a different direction this year, we have decided to take a Globus River Cruise (Avalon) from Amsterdam to Budapest . .. .. . can't wait!

Was your tour director, Jennie Ewers?

I enjoyed Fiji okay. I wouldn't necessarily go back only because it is similar enough to the Southern Caribbean (less costly and easier to get to). . I will, however, go back to New Zealand. As a matter of fact, I have an automated job search with my company for that location, now. When I go back to New Zealand, I would probably opt for a stop in Tahiti this time.

No, we had Lynn Schuemaker . .. .. . we did meet up with another Globus group but I don't believe that their director's name was Jennie.

We felt that this would be one of our only opportunities to go to New Zealand/Australia so we did the Fiji trip and loved it. My husband keeps coming up with other islands that we should visit, too. On a retirees income, I doubt that we will ever go to those areas again, but we agree with you . .. .. . New Zealand is fantastic. I loved the countryside, the cities weren't that crowded either. Our bus driver, Paul, even took us to see the area of Christchurch where he was born and raised . .. .. . nice side trip.

One of these days when we win the lottery, we would love to do a month of more of travels in New Zealand.

Good luck with your job search . .. .. .

Somehow I figured your might say that . .. .. .. . we are so looking forward to our River Cruise . .. .. . I still need to find out more about the weather conditions to be sure that I pack the correct clothes.

My husband isn't able to handle being on his feet for long periods of time so we think that this will be a much better trip for him. We loved our South Pacific trip but it took him about two weeks to recover from it when we got back.

Hope you enjoy Italy!!!
