We are considering doing this trip in October. I would appreciate comments from others who have taken this trip. Weather? What to wear. Thanks

Travel to Morrocco

We took it in December, and it could be cool and it could be hot. Jackets at night, for sure.

It's a good trip, its a harsh one, ours involved lots of bus travel. It was painful to see all the poverty--truely we live like kings compared to them.

I'd go again, even tho I got sick on the trip.

Morocco

I went to Morocco in July of this year. I thought it was incredible, it was an asault on every sense. The people are very hospitable and the architecture is amazing. If you eat the food in the hotel you will be fine but do not eat anything prepared on the streets or in cafes. Bottled water is a must. Don't eat any fruit that you can't peel like a banana.

You will find that shopping in Morocco is an experience of it's own. You can bargan and pay in euros instead of Moroccan Dinhas. Don't take any Moroccan money out of the country because you will not be able to change it elsewhere. You may be approached on the street by locals trying to sell you things.

Ladies should always keep their sholders covered and men should never wear shorts. It is considered a sign of respect. Even long drives in the bus are nice - you get to see the countryside. Do not take pictures of Moroccan people in traditional clothing - they do not like it and they may insist on taking your film or camera. It is considered an invasion of their privacy.

I would go back at any time. I thought Morocco was enchanting!
