Has anyone been on this tour? I am leaving on July 15. I would love to know about the hotels and about any advice you might offer including what optionals you'd recommend. Thank you!

I am considering taking the same tour in September. It is a 12 day tour from Globus, isn't it? First, I thought to take a similar tour from Cosmos, but then decided not to be cheap: just enjoy my vacation. This is my first tour in my life. Before, I was traveling on my own: too much planning and always more expensive than these tours offer. I am going alone, which is a downside to the trip. But I hope to make friends during this trip. I am 34. May be I should take a similar Contiki tour, which is geared towards younger tourists? Anybody had experience with them?

Also, there are longer trips (14 days) to Italy, which include visiting the nothern lakes. Are they worth considering?
