Hello,
I am looking for any advice about the Northern South American Countries (Venazuela, Suriname, Brazil (Northern), Peru, Columbia, Ecuador. If anyone has any travel tips on these countries that would be most helpful.
I just graduated from college and 6 of my friends and I are going to northern south america, for a month. Since we have only a month we were thinking about buying a van, like a cheap van just to get around and see as much as possible! We are all from America and we are all deaf.

There are a few concerns I have from reading books in preparation for the trip.
1. I heard driving down there is nuts.. .. . and I wonder if buying and selling cars is as easy as it is in the US. Also insurance if anyone knows anything about that.
2. Columbia.. .. .. . I heard about 3,000 people get kidnapped each yr ekk
3. Bolivia right now I heard the country is really in a state of termoil.. .. . military coupe perhaps.. .. .
