We are taking Globus' 16-day Spain, Portugal & Morocco tour in October. Does anyone who has taken this tour recently have any comments or suggestions regarding the tour itself and its optionals?

Took Insight's 18 day tour - Spain, Portugal and Morroco and took all the optionals and they were GREAT. Don't miss Cordoba or Segovia! Wanted more time in Teledo. Madrid is a great place to walk around. Don't miss anything in Morroco - especially the Berber market if offered. If your ferry across the straits is delayed- it's normal. If you stop in Costa Del Sol coming back from Morroco, it's not as interesting as everything else on the tour. Oh, loved the Sintra optional in Portugal. Have fun.

Thank you "bmd" for your input. Don't know if Insight differs significantly from Globus. Hopefully we'll enjoy it as much as you obviously did.

In Sept/Oct 2003 we took Globus's Iberian vacation tour, which was similar. We spent less time in Morocco than the tour you are taking. Our tour began and ended in Madrid. We flew to Madrid on our own and spent 4 or 5 days there before the tour began. We left the tour a day early in Granada and flew to Barcelona, where we spent 4 days. We had a wonderful time. We had originally booked a tour with another tour company and it was cancelled a month before we were to leave. Luckily the Globus tour closely fit our already arranged plane reservations. The Globus tour was iffy as well - there ended up being only 19 people on the tour and we were afraid it would be cancelled.
