My husband and I are planning to go to europe in december-january for our anniversary. Has anyone ever taken a tour during that time of year? Any suggestions?

We've gone on 2 winter break tours, one "Real Italy" by Trafalgar and one Munich/Prague/Budapest by Globus. Both were wonderful, but the Italy one was Stupendous! I highly recommend it.

Thinking of the "Real France" tour this year. Anyone been on that?

My fiancee and I are thinking of the Christmas in Germany and France trip in December. The itenerary mentions the side trips that are included, but what happens, if you want to actually go into many of the places you have an additional charge? Is there any way to find out what is actually included and what is going to be extra charges. I'm certain if I go all that way I will say its worth an extra 20$ to see, but how many times on the trip will this happen?

The company tour broucher should have the information you are looking and clearly state what's included and what's not. I took a couple Globus tours and the travel document show the inclusions and optional excusions and cost. If you are not clear, work with a travel agent to find out details.
