my wife and i are planning on taking an eleven day rail tour in spain which will cover madrid, cordoba, seville, and the costa del sol. Has anybody made this trek with Gate 1?

It's independent travel geared towards the seasoned traveller. Your on your own to get to and from the train stations . . Spain is easy. I would wait until November when the price drops. When you get to Costa del Sol take the train into Malaga for the day (last stop) and try to get to Gibralter also (bring your passport). . Unless your flying out of JFK you may want to look for your own flights. If your on a budget , plac C is fine. Your not spending any time in the hotel anyway.
