Considering taking a fall foliage tour through New England. Brennan Tours?
Tauck Tours? Gateway Tours? Any experience with any of these? Yoursuggestions
appreciated.

I have no experience with any of these companies but have lived nearly all of
my life in New England. Last fall we had spectacular fall foliage, the best
colors in years. However, you may have heard about the huge ice storm that
left much of the northeast without power for days and, in some cases, weeks.
The reason: heavy ice cause trees to break, falling on power lines and blocking
roads. The power lines are pretty much repaired now, but there was severe
damage to trees. This will have to have some effect on the fall foliage. Some
places will have new views which were previously obstructed, but others will
have lost magnificent trees which WERE the views. Please keep this in mind.


If you're interested in any specific places in New England, and especially New
Hampshire, I'll try to give info/references for you.
