toiletries on ship

Postby jomo » Mon Apr 25, 2005 1:21 pm

Has anyone travelled on the Costa Victoria recently? My family and I are booked and I would like to know if we need to pack toiletries? Do we need to bring shampoo, conditioners, etc.

Please advise.

As on most ships we have been on toiletries are like those found in any mid price hotel. Usually just small bottles of shampoo and bars of soap. of course you can ask for more but no telling how long before you get them. I don't know where she gets them but my wife does take travel size poo and soap, they are about 1/2 size as reqular. Also if you take an inside cabin take a small night light. we also take a small cd player, i like to fall asleep with music. we even take along an extension cord because there is usually only 1 plug on vanity. remember also pool shoes, we call them flip flops. and if you take regular meds take a few extra days. when you go on land take at least 1 days worth with you. Suntan lotion is a must, they sell this stuff on board but its expensive. one last tip. if any thing you take is in a tube or bottle put them in small tupperwear like container. We had a perfume bottle break once and all clothes near it was pretty strong smell. have a great trip

There are NO toiletries on Costa ships, so don't forget to bring your own! :(
