We were at the Dunn's River 3/5-3/11 and had a wonderful time. Our room faced the construction of the new resort and they were also doing work in our building and it did not bother us.
The people and food were great. I can't say we had a bad meal, we did order several things like the lobster and steak.
There was never a wait for drinks and believe me when I say there was plenty in the drinks. Everyone that worked there was always there to help and wait on you.
The resort was beautiful. The only thing my husband and I didn't like was the fact that there were no waves or the long bus ride. I think those are the two things that may hold us back from going there again.

we've been to SDR 2x.. .. . in 99 and 2002 loved it both times!

We were there in Nov. 2003 and loved it. They were building a new entrance at that time and I would love to see how it turned out. I had read many complaints about a mildew smell and the construction noise before we went. I guess a lot will depend on your room location but we did not find these reviews to be true. From what I understand in talking to others staying there, the office was great at giving room changes when requested. It is a beautiful resort

we were there in jan 04 and thought it was awesome. probably liked it better than Whitehouse, but that's because Whitehouse didn't have the kinks out yet.
