Mendenhall Glacier Float Trip

Anyone ever do this one? Seems like it may be fun but cold.
Brochure says wear extra socks. What is likelihood of getting
wet. Glaciers to me mean ice, is water cooooold?

We did this and had a blast. You start off in the lake just below the glacier. We have some pretty pictures from the foot of the glacier. They give you rubberized suits that you wear over you clothes so you don't get wet, unless you decide to unzip the front like my husband did. It was a warm day so he decided to unzip the front. The kids and I asked the guide to get him wet so he turned into a little rapid and the water hit him! It was cold! Our friend had it on video which was funny. The water is calm and you should not normally get wet. It is really pretty and I recommend it.
