This is a huge ship.. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. . this is a great cruise ship. And a cruise we will long remember. My husband and I treated ourselves and our two daughters and their husbands to a cruise. We boarded the "Grand Princess" in the wonderful Texas Gulf Coast town of Galveston.

This was a perfect holiday for all of us. Galveston is an experience in itself. Within walking distance from our hotel, we were able to walk to excellent restaurants, shops and museums. There is very an old timey trolley car service that runs from downtown to the area of this island city to the "Seawall", which is a very wide street that overlooks the Gulf of Mexico and the beaches. Now this strip has lots of huge hotels and restaurants and lots of activity with thousands and thousands of people enjoying themselves.

We got a great tour of Galveston when we arrived there from this friendly man who drove us from the Houston airport to Galveston, and back to the airport upon our return. This gentleman who drove was icing on our cake. Great cruise on the Grand Princess, good hotel and restaurants in Galveston. And knowlegable driver who took good care of us, and took the time to show us around.
