We went to Alaska on Royal last July. Best time EVER!!. We did the canoe trip/salmon bake in Juneau. It was so great. The weather was wonderful so we really had a smooth canoe trip. They give you wet-weather gear including hooded jackets (thin, not thick) and boots to put on. There was only about 5 of us on our canoe and hardly anyone on the lake at all.
Our guide brought great snacks and we ate them on the land near a great waterfall. I would highly recommend this trip and you can book directly though the companies and save at least $25 per person, rather than booking on board.
Also, if you don't mind, we are taking the Mercury next March (06) have you been on before? |
