Has anyone taken the Mendenhall Glacier Float trip? Concerned about getting cold and wet. Is the trip worth it and do you get wet? How cold is the water?

Mendenhall Glacier

We went to Alaska on Royal last July. Best time EVER!!. . We did the canoe trip/salmon bake in Juneau. It was so great. The weather was wonderful so we really had a smooth canoe trip. They give you wet-weather gear including hooded jackets (thin, not thick) and boots to put on. There was only about 5 of us on our canoe and hardly anyone on the lake at all.

Our guide brought great snacks and we ate them on the land near a great waterfall. I would highly recommend this trip and you can book directly though the companies and save at least $25 per person, rather than booking on board.

Also, if you don't mind, we are taking the Mercury next March (06) have you been on before?
