We've been on two Cosmos trips and have studied the offerings between Globus and Cosmos (both owned by the same company). . Cosmos gives you the basics, offering optional outings as extras. Globus includes those extras in your price. In addition, while Globus uses first class or deluxe hotels, Cosmos uses super tourist (2+ star) hotels. Sometimes, depending on the itinerary, Cosmos will offer the higher rated hotels. We just returned from the "Dixieland and Rhythms" tour and were delighted with a two night stay at Nashville's Gaylord Opryland Hotel, which is a definite 4 star hotel. Globus also includes some meals in their pricing, and Cosmos does not. We have found that the Cosmos tours are extremely well-planned and we've had two wonderful tour directors. The choice of Globus or Cosmos just depends on your perferances and/or budget.
