Hey everybody!

We're going to SMB for our honeymoon on May9th and I would love to hear about some recent experiences.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. We are staying in a beachfront.. ..something. Not a concierge, but it may be a suite. We will be there for four nights Mon-Thurs.

Should we eat at SRC one night?

I see that a bunch of people are taking trips soon so be sure and post your experience.

Thanks, Caroline

make reservations as soon as you get there for the restaurants. tokoyo joes is good (mongolian bbq), italian is good. if you are there on friday it is beach party night and eat at the party, the steaks at the ok corral are good. we went to src to the thai restaurant and were diasppointed in the food. the experience was different but we were not that impressed. the have decent shows at the hotel and on fridays they have vendors come in and sell stuff that actually are better priced than in town. we have been there twice. the second time we went we did not go outside of the resort. the beachfront cottages are nice. stake out your beach chairs as early as possible in the morning or you might do without. everyone is very friendly but remember you are in a country other than the us, the people are great and they are laid back so just go with the flow. you are close to the airport and have airplanes taking off all day but you soon learn to ignore it. they will teach you to scuba if you want and there are plenty of games. go to the sandals.com web site and click on the resort. it is very well maintained and very beautiful. enjoy.

CaroGarnett and LVANG, I bet you are getting very excited. Your honeymoons are coming up soon. You both will have a great time and will enjoy the people there. We've got 155 days left before we return to smb.

Scott Robbins is no longer at SMB, he's been transferred to SInn. He'll be missed. :(

Two months from tomorrow and we leave. :P

Anybody been to Sandals Mo Bay very recently (within the last month)? We leave 4 weeks today for our second trip there and I was wondering if anything had happened with their plans to build a big new pool between the beach and the Palms buildings. They talked about doing this last year when we were there, stating is was a summer '05 project and although I've enquired of the Sandals customer service folks and even called the general manager on-site (spoke to his secretary), I haven't managed to get a definitive reply.

If they haven't started and don't intend to, I won't be crying - I'd prefer not to be sitting in a construction site!

Counting the days and even hours 8)

Just came back Wed. night. Didn't hear of any plans on the pool yet. Didn't see Horace very much this time he was always on the go. Out of our 7 stays at SMB this one was the rainest. Even the pool water cooled down to much for us. There weren't too many people in it the week we left.

They are remodeling Cottage 14 next to 12 and have 12 closed due to noise. You could hear them working all day. But it's got to get done. Should be done by Dec.
