hair dryers?

hair dryers?

Postby Guest » Sun Mar 20, 2005 6:54 pm

Hi, I was wondering if I really need to take a hair dryer on our European tour in June. Do the hotels in London, Paris and Italy have them available? Thanks.

our hotels would say they were available, but not all rooms really did have them. We brought a cheap one (or buy 1 there) and the electrical adaptor since I had 2 women and a son who all NEEDED the hair dryer to face the world.. ..lol!

Italy had hair dryers in the hotels we used, but they do not get very hot and do not blow out much air!

hairdryers & soap

I took my small hair dryer all over Italy. It had a dual voltage switch, so I switched it to the European voltage. It only cost around $10.00. I took a small plug, adaptor. That was only 99 cents at a dollar store. Many people that took hair dryers without the dual voltage switchs, blew out. People were actually borrowing my cheap hair dryer. Some hotels had them, some didn't.
We took a bottle of Dr. Bronner's Pure Castile liquid soap, it comes in different scents. We washed with it, and it makes a gentle shampoo and doesn't dry your skin out. Also carry small tissue packs in case restrooms are out of paper. I packed old panties, and just threw them away instead of carrying around dirty laundry.
