My two daughters and I are contemplating the idea of going to China this summer for a two-week vacation. The cities we would like to visit are Beijing, Xian and Shanghai. Is it safe (and wise) for three American women to travel there?

We went to China in 1997 with Pacific Delight tours and had a wonderful time. Want to go back again. We felt perfectly safe everywhere we went and we went out in the streets when everyone else on our tour went to bed or whatever. They all thought we were crazy but we had a wonderful time.
