Grande St. Lucia

Grande St. Lucia

Postby anvil » Wed Feb 23, 2005 11:03 am

My fiance and I are honeymooning at the Grande in April, and I had read earlier in one of the posts that there was a helicopter service from the southern airport to the resort? Does anybody have any information on this?

Anvil,

My wife and I are also going to visit St. Lucia Grand in May, and I am considering the helicopter transport.

I found a website www.stluciahelicopters.com/ , offers one way trip to the Grand for $105 PP. If you decide to do this let me know how it goes or if anyone else has experienced this service first hand please post your comments.

Thanks

Helicopters

Hi Anvil

We were at Grande St Lucian last year. I think we arrived on a Sunday and the flight transfer was not an option.
The trip from the airport was quite long - about 90 mins I think and goes up through the middle of the island. You do get to see the place, but the helicopter would sure be a nice way to arrive and should be spectacular.
If I could only fly one way, I think that I'd go for the return flight to the airport. When I leave a hotel to go home, the last thing I want is a long bus journey.
One thing for sure, no matter how you arrive and leave, you will have a great time. It's a lovely resort.

We are going to the Grande May 1st. Although they list a dress code for the men for the restaurants, are there rules for the women as well?

We were at Sandals OR in March, and women are allowed to wear pretty much what they want. Go figure!

This might seem like a silly question . .. . but is there pop available at the Grande? I always drink diet due to a medical condition. If not, can it be purchased?
