I am planning a 10 day cruise around the Hawaiian islands in June on the Norweigan Wind. Looking at all the negative comments about NCL, I'm afraid to book it. Has anyone traveled on the Wind in Hawaii?

I think you will have a great trip however there is a lot of elderly people on the ship so we had to turn around do to A MEDICAL EMERGENCY and missed Kona i heard that happened on the trip before us to but the ship is OK the food was very good Try it

I travelled with my best mate, my sister and mother, we had a great time the crew and staff were fantastic, there were problems with some guests on their connection to get the ship but otherwise we experienced no problems, the trip before had engine problems and missed a few ports, javascript:emoticon('8)')

I went on the Wind on the hawaii cruise last September (2004) and yes there were a lot of oldies. But we still had a great time and enjoyed the food, drinks and the staff were fantastic. (plenty of things to do when you get off on the Islands each day). .

Of course there were a couple of crap times - mainly due to weather and high seas but that was on the way to Fanning Island.

Put it this way - there is no pleasing some people. I have had worse reports from other cruise lines - much much worse.

We have heard rumours about the service in the restaurants without a cover charge. Can anyone tell us about the service and quality of the restaurants which come free with your cruise?
