pretty public info by now, but in case anyone doesn't know:

those of us going to Sandals Whitehouse in the first month (feb 10-mar 5 i believe) are entitled to some options. the resort will not be at 100% (far from it actually). . they will be missing safes and bathroom mirrors in the rooms. certain restaurants will not be open as well as the xbox center and the duty-free shops. some public restrooms will not be finished and a lot of the furniture (both indoor and outdoor) will not be there yet. personally, this is a slop job on the part of Sandals. i understand not having buildings ready, but not having furniture or mirrors or safes.. ..that's just slacking off on ordering that stuff in time. anyway, if you're booked for those dates, you can either go down there anyway and get a comp vacation for later for the same number of days as this vacation (for instance, we are going for 6 nights, so we are taking a vacation later for 6 nights) at any Sandals or Beaches property (land only) or you can relocate for your dates already booked at SWH and get 2 days comped later. contact 1-800-SANDALS for more if you are booked in these dates.

Thanks so much for the info..sorry if i sounded abrupt in my earlier request.. ..i called sandals and they confirmed the info for me..as usual, we are very impressed with their customer service..i guess that is why we stick with them (sw will be our fifth sandals trip). .. ..we are very excited about our additional trip..i don't care if i have to pitch a tent on the beach..as long as the bars are working and the pools are full..see you on the 19th.. ..yeah mon!!!!

dr. perfect - you are correct. sandals waited until one week to let you know that they are far from ready! i saw previous posts on some boards that the Sandals people were positive that everything was irie. they knew darn well that mirrors and safes were not going to be there. i don't feel confortable leaving my passport and $$'s in the room unlocked. I hope they have the water hooked up! who's to say you still cannot have a great time. like the other post said, pitch a tent on the beach. as long as they have plenty of appleton vx, we will be fine mon. i'll be waiting to see the restrictions i read about for the free nights. hope the print is not too small
