Electronics and communication in Europe

Postby TheSnowMan36 » Sun Jan 30, 2005 4:42 pm

If you've read my previous post then you know that I am a very inexperienced traveler. I am now curious as to how to use my electronics overseas. What would I need to do preflight and how will I operate them overseas. The items I intend to bring are a laptop, digital camera, and an ipod. I am also concerned how to use the internet overseas. I would greatly appreciate an apply. :D

The Digital camera is not a problem, just make sure you have a Convertor to charge your batteries (I recommend at least 2 batteries) and charge them fully each night. Laptop is not a problem either if the hiotels have a modom/hook-up available, not all hotels offer hook-up access. Make sure you have the right power convertors as the vary from the UK to Europe. If you read the instructions very carefully then you wont have any problems charging the batteries on the laptop & camera. Ipod.. ..Sorry I cant help there, lol. If you want to transfer the pictures to Cd or floppy disc. you will find internet cafes throughout the countries and usually a decent price if you look around a little.
