Fridges in hotels

Fridges in hotels

Postby MandyAust » Tue Jan 18, 2005 12:20 am

I was wondering if anyone who has been on Cosmos tours can tell whether the hotels have fridges or not. We are taking the Eng/Scotland/Wales tour plus the European Masterpiece. My medication needs to be refrigerated and I have bought ice bricks and a small esky type bag and am hoping to be able to freeze the ice bricks each night. Has anyone had similar experiences and were you able to keep medication cold? Would appreciate any advice.
Thanks.
Happy travels

Sorry to say that we took the Grand tour of the UK (Loved the tour, had a Great time on it) and not one hotel room had a fridge. Having a fridge in the room is not as common in Europe as it is in USA. In fact it is very hard to find a hotel that has Ice machines.

Fridge in Hotels

I would agree. Locating ice or ice machines will almost be impossible to find in European hotels. I recently came back from a Cosmos tour and my family are ice lovers, but to their dismay, it was even difficult to get a glass of ice in restaurants, let alone a hotel. Hope all works out for you.

Nope, never saw a room with a fridge. Check with the desk though. I would expect they have a mini fridge tucked away for their own cold drinks. Take it up with your guide. They know everything it seems.
