I get motion sickness, and was just wondering if anyone out there can help me with this problem.. . I don't want to ruin our honeymoon! Any tips or suggestions to help me out??
Also this will be our first cruise ever..any other pointers that you can give me??

sea sickness

I've heard that sea sickness is totally preventable if you take Bonine or Dramamine the night before you go on your trip. It usually says to take a few hours prior to getting on the boat, but I've heard many times to take one before you go to bed, to get it started in your system. They say that once you get sick and you haven't taken anything its very hard to get any relief from the annoying effects of sea sickness. Make sure to read the instructions on how long you can take the pills. Also, go to the health food store and get ginger, it is very soothing for the tummy.

Hopefully seas will be calm and if there not you'll be prepared not to be sick because you took the Bonine or Dramamine.

Don't get all stressed about getting sick, you'll end up being fine!
Have a great time :D

Alaska

We went to Alaska in May on the Dream and seasickness was my worry so I got seasick patches from our Dr. but.. .. .. .

Hubby passed out and went to ship's Dr and he said they are "not" a good solution as they have lots of trouble with people not adjusting to them so.. .. .

He suggested a prescription before hand for Meclizine, similar to the over the counter Dramamine but a little more effective.

Happy marriage, and Bon Voyage, hope this helps

There was only one day on our Alaskan cruise with NCL that basically hte whole ship was seasick.. ..when we were in the open ocean I guess.. ..we just ate crackers and got some fresh air.. ..it was lots better outdoors than inside..being in bed was the worst actually. the rest of the time I could barely tell we were moving.
