Postby justweenus » Tue Aug 17, 2004 4:12 pm

Can anyone tell us about theme nights at SOR? We leave in 2 weeks and I have no idea what to expect. I understand there's a formal night. How formal are we talking? What's the norm? Are there any other nights we need to be prepared for? We love to participate in the activities as well as the fun of dressing up/dressing down.. .. . Please anywone with any information would make my day. Jamaican Hugs :0)

all sandals have theme nights. to my knowledge (i'm a little obsessive.. ..hehe), all the Sandals have Beach Night on Mondays. that's the pirates and wenches day. take costumes. we had to leave on monday but wish we could have stayed. at SDR in january it was like this.

mon - pirates and wenches day and beach party night.. ..dress up for sure!

tues - carnival/charity night.. ..don't know what to tell you, we weren't there

wed - latino night (blah)

thurs - toga night.. ..bring your own because the resort ran out of togas and we didn't get one!

fri - jamaica night (every restaurant shut down except kimono's and they had a buffet on the beach.. ..fortunately we had reservations for kimono's so we didn't have to miss a night at a restaurant)

sat - staff/guest talent show.. .. ..do this.. ..we both did and it was fun

sun - formal night.. ..you don't have to dress up. there was a lot of college aged kids there that were decked out. really pretentious kind of. but it's nice because everybody looks nice and it's a lot nicer night than some other nights. i remember that one being kind of emotional cuz it was our last night.

at ocho rios, the schedule was.. .. .
mon - beach party
tues - charity
wed - staff/guest talent show
thurs - jamaica
fri - karaoke
sat - lover's night
sun - formal night

Theme nights at Sandals

Postby justweenus » Tue Aug 17, 2004 7:19 pm

You guys rock! Thanks for the info. I'm a little concerned about the ages of guests at Sandals. We won this trip on an auction with no idea as to where we were going, only knew it was Deluxe all-Inclusive in Ocho Rios. Great Great Deal. We've been to various SuperClubs but never a Sandals. I'm worried we're going to be the "Old Crazy Couple" among a bunch of newlyweds. We're both 42 and we love to drink and dance, meet new people and have a lot of fun.Our bedtime on vacation is around 4am. I'm worried we'll be bored but we will get some much needed rest on our vacation. Thanks for the info. Pam

You won't be the oldest at Sandals. Most Sandals have a good mix of ages. This is one thing I like about the resorts.

For formal night--long pants for the men with a shirt with a collar. For the ladies, a nice sundress or something like that will do.

Beach party night--anything goes. Shorts and a t-shirt would be fine. You can go without shoes if you like.

Most Sandals have a "black and white night"--everyone dresses in black and white, if you want to participate. If you have a black and white outfit bring it with. Even if the Sandals that you go to doesn't have this night, it won't hurt to wear it on another night.

Priates and wenches--I haven't seen many people participate in this.

you definitely won't be the oldest. look at the pics online, they're all ages. and SOR will be an older crowd than SDR or MoBay. SOR is a more laid back crowd.

Theme nights?

Postby sasee708 » Mon Sep 20, 2004 5:46 am

Has anyone heard if Whitehouse is going to have theme nights?? Everything I've read so far doesn't mention it and also doesn't look like there's a formal night either. ??????????
