We are considering taking this cruise August, 2005.. ..Has anyone taken a this cruise? What was the name of your boat? Please give us any opinions about this cruise. Food, tours, dress code or formal evenings.

Is Budapest worth staying extra days?

Yes, it's a wonderful trip. I took it in July of 2002 and had a great time. I went over to Budapest two nights earlier and loved it. Lots of great classical music and opera at truly reasonable prices. Dress is very casual all the time. No need for even a sports coat!

Uniworld is my favorite company. Everything is included.. .. .. .. ..wonderful little ship, all your meals, all your sightseeing. If you are on a local tour and it is over lunchtime, they arrange and pay for wonderful lunches. I have been on the Danube/Rhine trip and the Po River (Italy) and just because I like them so much I am going on the Russian River Cruise.
Only thing that bothers me is paying the cruise director $4 a day.
$4 times 14 days is $56. $56 times 100 passengers is $5,600 for each trip. They do two trips a month. That's $11.200. I'd like to make that much and travel for free too (but I couldn't handle the headaches involved). .
Nevertheless, I'll pay and go again and again and again.

My wife and I would love to take one of these river cruises in the Fall (e.g., Rhine/Danube). . However, my wife is very sensitive to motion sickness, and has become ill on ocean cruises. Is this kind of cruise susceptible to lots of rocking, as I do not want to keep her couped up for 7 days if it will make her sick!
