My wife & I, part of the "grey army", wanted to see parts of Europe that we had not seen before and thought that a river cruise would be more our pace than a bus tour. We were pleasantly surprised when Amadeus Waterways and "Symphony" exceded our expectations by a huge margin.

The ship was a revelation. Modern and spotlessly clean, its crew were exceptioally well trained and courteous at all times. The meals were so good that we had to restrict ourselves to avoid becoming blimp-like.

We met universally friendly people who were great company on board and during shore excursions. The scenery was spectacular and the choice of shore based sightseeing could not be faulted.

The memories we take home will be with us for years and we hope to indulge in another cruise when next in Europe.
